Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers think more clearly about a short break in the United Kingdom: its route, pace, local character or the choices that shape an outing. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What makes a good pitch
A strong proposal has one clear subject, a defined reader and a reason the idea will remain useful beyond a single news cycle. Tell us the working angle, the central question and the shape of the piece. Specific comparisons or observations are more helpful than a broad promise to cover a destination.
Useful boundaries
We look for accurate, original writing in a concise and considered voice. Avoid unsupported claims, promotional copy and advice that depends on rules or conditions readers must verify locally. Do not send confidential material or assume a pitch has been accepted until we reply.
How to propose it
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include a short outline and any relevant links or examples in your message. Proposals are reviewed for fit, clarity and usefulness; sending one does not guarantee publication.
A good weekend leaves room to notice
A short break need not be a race between sights. We look at the choices that let a place come into focus, one turn or pause at a time.
